The French embassy in nepal used to see the application for Spain Tourist Visa for Nepal as there is no Spain Embassy in Nepal. Then when The French Embassy shifted its operation to India. VFS Global used to take the application for Neplease. But it was for the short period of time. In between Neplease have to travel to india to get the visa.
BLS Spain visa application center in Kathmandu is now the official partner for processing the visa application for Spain Tourist Visa In Nepal. It’s much more relief for Nepalese as traveling to india is much more expensive and difficult. It is stable in Nepal for now. Earlier it only used to process application for tourist visa. But now from this year , BLS Spain Visa application center in kathmandu started processing the application for National Visa.
Here i will try to explain the required document that is required to apply for Tourist Visa .
Spain Tourist Visa In Nepal & Spain National Visa
Tourist visa :- Its also known as short term visa , the person who intent to stay in Nepal for less than or equal to 90 days can apply for this visa. This is visa is for the Toursim purpose or visitng family or friend. Working with visa is strictly prohibited .
National Visa :- It’s also known as working visa.Those person who have short term Work contract for 6 Month or more can apply for this visa. The person have to be over age of 16 to apply fot this visa .
Spain Tourist Visa In Nepal Requirement ( Details)
Documents Required for Spain Tourist Visa In Nepal to be submitted to BLS International Kathamndu Nepal are.

- One application from for a Schengen Visa duly completed ( Full postal address, email address and telephone should not be omitted) , dated and signed in blue ink by the applicant or both parents if Minor. One Photograph not olde than six month of the applicant , 35-45 mm and on a white background , should be affixed with application.

- In case of minors applying alone or not with both parents, the application must include a notarized authorization letter signed by both parents The Parent who is not present at the moment of the application must submit as a proof of the signature a notarized copy of the Passport or pan cards or driving license.
Normally this is not Required for Citizen of Nepal.

- Passport of the applicant with at least two blank pages, valid for at least three months after the duration of the anticipated stay and issued in the last ten years.Old passport can also be included. If there is any visa refusal in the latest 2 years, please provide the refusal notice or a written explanation abut the reason.

- One copy of the pages of the Passport with Biographic data ( Page 1 and 2 of Neplese passport and If the copy of the visas if there is any)

- If the appliciant is not a national of India, Sri Lanka , Bhutan , Nepal or the Maldives, Evidence of his/her legal residence in any of these countires ( Residence permit) ( Nepelese Citizen can Ignore this step your passport is enough).

- Proof of travel insurance with minimum coverage of 30,000 Euros to cover any expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation of medical reasons, urgent medical attention or emergency hospital treatment. The insurance must be valid throughout the territory of the schengen and during the entire period of stay. ( You can go to any insurance and ask to make Travel insurance , you need a passport for that )
Detail of the Trip ( Spain Tourist Visa In Nepal)

- Cover Letter ( Account of the purpose of the visit ) . ( Write a letter to the Spanish embasssy New delhi , how you are going to spend your time in spain, where you are going to stay)

- Flight Booking ( Roundtrip) . It is advisable not to buy ticket until the visa has been granted. ( Your Ticketing officer will make this for you or you can go to any Ticketing agency and aske them to make the Travel itinerary with some charge)

- Hotel Accomodation for the duration of the stay or , if you are visiting family or friends in Spain, an invitation letter from the resident in spain issued by the spanish national Police.
Important Note:-
If you have a Family member or Sponsor that is inviting to Spain, then the documents that they need to prepare in Spain are

- The Passport copies of the sponsor should be notarized by the lawyer in Spain. The original notarized copies should be sent to Nepal.

- Carta de Invitation ( This can be obtained by going to the nearest police Station , this will take some time , sometime months)

Evidence of ecomonic means.
- Original stamped and signed bank statements of the appliciant and sponsor (if any) of the last six months. Original signed letter by Sponsor detailing the concepts/amount to be covered and proof of the relationship of the sponsor with the applicant must be submitted , if relevant. ( In case of the bank account of one is not available , one can show the bank satement of the spouse and the marriage certificate should be Translated and notarized and submited)
- Income Tax return (ITR-V or Form 16) for the last two years.
- Salary sips for last three months, ( If employed)
- Title of property in spain, pension slips or proof of deposits.

Appointment Process
- To get the appointment you need to log in to BLS Spain Visa portal here.
- If you are new applicant please register with your email and password.
- After you log in , go to Book New Appointment , select the country , date and visa application center ( For Nepalese Kathmandu )
- Next ,you need to fill up the online form. ( You need a scanned photos and passport details.)
- Your appointment is confirmed , Your BLS Spain Visa appointment slip and Visa application is sent to you by mail or you can print it form the website directly.
- Please print a Visa Form from the Website and Fill it up with blue Pen. The online filled form is not accepeted. ( Don’t know why they make us fill up the form online if they wont accept it.)
- You can apply for the visa up to 6 month prior to the intent date of travel.

After you clicked on the link of BLS Spain visa website. Register or create a profile but clicking on create an account. Then fill up the form and then verify it .
after your verification is complete
Use your Regestered Email and you password in the log in page and verify.Then it will take you to the new page.

Click on Verify selection and then Submit.
From here you can book your appointment

This is where you will get your Appointment date.
Appointment date:- Book you appointment date from here, red indicates slot is full, yelllows indicates public holiday and green date means you can book the slot in these days.
Appointment time:- You can book the time slot between 9am to 3 pm. Green is Available and red is full. There is a premium slot available after paying some extra money.
THe second line you dont need to do anything.
You cannot change the country code but still please mention you phone number and email .
You need to scan you photo and upload it here( The photo should be less than 200Kb), then click on get verification , then check you email for verification code. Enter it here.
Then proceed to the next steps, Fill up the visa application, then the payment and then your appointment confirmation is approved.
Visit the Bls Spain visa application center 15 minute prior to the appointment.

Visa fee
The visa fee for 2024 is INR 13110 , Including all charges. The nepali convertable will be approximately 21000. The money need to be deposited to the bank account provided by the center. Its so pity to know that , in this digital age there is no any digital transaction method available here. You need to submit the application , then go to the bank , deposite the amount and return back to center to submit the receipt.
The visa application charge is not constant and it keeps changing. I will try my best to update the visa fee.
To the Viewers
Tips :- If you accidently , cancelled the appointment then the system will block your Passport number for 15 days. You have to wait for 15 days to get new appoinetment. So, if you find yourself in this situation , i found one solution for you , please delete your profile and register with new email. This should solve your problem.
